Annual "Gifts of Life" Patient Reunion Celebrates Children
Families Helped Through Technology, Help Less Fortunate Kids Through Compassion
The Fertility Center of Las Vegas, Southern Nevada's first and only fertility practice with a sub-specialty certified reproductive endocrinologist, celebrated children as the "Gifts of Life" during their annual patient reunion and 10th anniversary. The "birthday party", complete with guests bringing gifts which were donated to Child Haven, was held on Saturday, September 19 at Canyon Gate Country Club. In addition, The Fertility Center had a brightly colored playhouse built for the event which was filled to capacity through the generosity of Fertility Center patients.
To date, over 800 children have been born with help from The Fertility Center. The fifth annual "Gifts of Life" Birthday Party was intended to reunite patients and their children - ranging in age from 9 years to infancy - with The Fertility Center's medical team and Yale-trained Medical Director, Dr. Bruce Shapiro. Over 250 people attended and enjoyed the festive atmosphere which included food and entertainment such as storytelling, face-painting, and balloonogists.
The Fertility Center selected Child Haven as this year's recipient due to their ongoing mission for helping neglected and abused children. Thousands of children, ranging in ages from infancy to 18 years, are served by Child Haven each year. Representatives from Child Haven were on-hand to accept the donations of clothing, books, and toys.
