Nevada Business Journal Names Dr. Shapiro
“Healthcare Hero” in Technology Category

LAS VEGAS, NV – The Nevada Business Journal, a statewide business publication has named Dr. Bruce Shapiro as recipient of the 2008 Healthcare Hero Award in the Technology category. Dr. Shapiro’s accomplishments in research and development in reproductive medicine resulted in him receiving this coveted honor.

“I’m deeply humbled by this award,” noted Dr. Shapiro at the gala hosted July 30 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, “but this recognition is shared by the entire team at The Fertility Center of Las Vegas.”

Dr. Shapiro along with his partner Dr. Daneshmand have long been known for their research accomplishments from blastocyst transfer to uterine synchrony. These findings have resulted in better, more cost-effective methods of conception for infertile couples.

The Healthcare Hero Awards were developed by the Nevada Business Journal to acknowledge the exceptional men and women of medicine who have improved the lives of people in Nevada and beyond. Among the hundreds of applicants, less than two dozen professionals were recognized for the entire state of Nevada.
