In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) High Responder Study Results
Comparing Fresh vs Frozen Embryo Pregnancy Rates in Women 18-40 years of age
The privilege of caring for infertile men and women has been the heart of the Fertility Center of Las Vegas’ mission for over two decades. This, coupled with extensive research, has resulted in phenomenal progress and pregnancy success. We’d like to share our most recent accomplishments with you.
In October 2010, we concluded the High Responder IVF study comparing pregnancy results from fresh vs. frozen/thawed embryo transfer in patients up to 40 years of age with at least 16 antral follicles prior to treatment. The study was a tremendous success and we are honored to have received the “Practicing Physicians Award” from the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS) based on the findings. We are excited to share the results with you:

Fresh Transfer |
Frozen/Thaw Transfer |
Clinical Pregnancy Rate |
65% |
80% |
Live Birth Rates are still pending at this time.
These rates are among the highest reported for women 18-40 years of age using their own eggs, particularly in a prospective randomized trial. The exemplary success of our frozen/thaw protocols have afforded us the ability to include unlimited thaw transfers in the cost of an IVF cycle until the patient achieves a live birth (using the embryos obtained from the egg retrieval within a 12 month period). That kind of value is what patients come to expect at our center.
