CLINICAL STUDIES:

The Fertility Center of Las Vegas is participating in a research study to evaluate a new investigational fertility drug (corifollitropin alfa, also known as Elonva™ in Europe) for use in cycles of in vitro fertilization (IVF).  There will be no charge for the IVF cycle and study medications used in this study*.  

The inclusion criteria for this study include:

  • Non-smoking female, age 35-42, weighing at least 110 pounds 
  • Have regular periods, a normal uterus, and 2 ovaries

* There will be no charge for one IVF cycle in this study, including ovarian stimulation medications, routine monitoring during ovarian stimulation, egg collection, anesthesia, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo culture, fresh embryo transfer, or embryo freezing.  Participants will not be charged for drugs to stimulate the ovaries (corifollitropin alfa and/or Follistim ™), a drug to prevent premature ovulation (ganirelix acetate), a drug to induce ovulation (Ovidrel ™), and a drug to prepare the uterus and support pregnancy (Crinone ™).  Charges might be incurred for any necessary diagnostic work or for certain treatment options.  If pregnancy is achieved, charges will be incurred (to the study subject or her insurance company) for certain costs of pregnancy monitoring and for the costs of childbirth.

 

We normally have multiple ongoing research studies. Some studies may offer significantly reduced costs or may provide new technologies available only through a research study.
